Wescover is a marketplace to discover and shop unique and custom items directly from Creators— instead of commodity products from mass retailers.
We’re focused on finding and onboarding authentic, small scale creators to collaborate with and sell to our growing community of trade members – professional interior designers, architects, real estate developers and small business owners.
You will be joining a series A start-up, as an early employee. You will have an opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the company and work with experienced serial entrepreneurs. Wescover’s investors include Draper Associates, at.inc/, and Floodgate.
This person will work with the Head of Lifecycle Marketing and Head of Design to implement email marketing campaigns and write copy for marketing emails, new product announcements, ads and UX / site messaging.
–Write all marketing email copy and social ad copy, as well as some site copy / descriptions and longer format blog posts / articles. This person should be able to develop email and site copy that incorporates Wescover’s value propositions and describes product features and functionality
–Develop copy ideas for A/B testing.
–Adapt copy based on feedback and email performance.
–Format / set up email templates, campaigns and user journeys in Iterable.
–Build and maintain lists and audience segments
–Measure work against multiple KPIs
–Document and own the map of outbound customer touch points, optimizing the customer experience by adding to and editing these touchpoints.
–Develop a great understanding of both the Wescover creator’s business and needs as well as the potential buyer’s (trade and end consumer) purchasing considerations and process to inform copy and customer journey.
Qualifications / What we’re looking for:
–4+ years relevant experience with marketing copywriting and email marketing
–Experience with email marketing platforms / tools and A/B testing
–Experience with ecommerce / marketplace startups
–Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects
–Excellent at managing time and changing priorities
–Flexible; able to take on new projects and challenges to help our small team
–A data-driven mindset and the ability to apply big-picture goals to daily tasks
–Bonus points if you have experience in Iterable, html, or design
